Blue Moon Events is proud to present critically-acclaimed songwriter/musician Chris Trapper (www.christrapper.com or www.pushstars.com) in an intimate house concert, featuring performances on the guitar, ukulele, and baby grand piano. As you may know, Chris recently wrote “This Time,” the love theme for the movie “August Rush,” starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Keri Russell, and Robin Williams. This past December, Chris gave us a new record, “It’s Christmas Time,” with 10 original holiday tunes.
The Grams, 2-time San Diego Music Award winners, will also be playing for us. They are currently finishing up their much-anticipated new record (http://thegrams.net).

San Diego Blue Moon Events presents concerts by local and national independent musicans and recording artists in intimate “house concert” venues. We also host other special events. Proceeds will be used to support and encourage local and independent musicians.
Chris Trapper is a truly remarkable singer/song-writer from Boston, whose songs bridge all musical genres. You have heard some of his music if you have seen the movies “Something About Mary,” “Me, Myself & Irene,” or “The Devil Wears Prada.” Recent television shows such as “ER,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” and “Pepper Dennis” have also featured his songs.
The Grams begin with a pop, rock, Americana and world music approach to songwriting. Equal parts orchestration/ improvisation. With the overt use of only 2 acoustic guitars - along with the effects-driven "space" violin, they create a blend unique unto themselves. This style is not only melodic, but very, very rhythmic. "Hitting" the guitar is part of the fun in The Grams. Whether they are covering tunes out of context, or just rockin' out - it all comes together in a way that is unique, interesting and fun. The Grams take home their 2nd SDMA award in a row for the Best Americana category! Artists are nominated by the Awards commitee, foundation members and voting is open to the public, so it is an accurate representation of the people's choice as well.
